Information for Parents

Fall '06 - Letter from a former MSLG parent:

    "Greetings from St. Louis! I want to let you know how my daughters are doing after attending the Montessori School of Long Grove. As I recall, parents sometimes wondered how their children will do after they leave. I decided to write you because I hear the same questions at our present Montessori school.

    "Julie is in her 3rd year of public school after spending five years in your elementary program. She is currently in the advanced 8th grade math class, and last spring she was accepted in the Fine Arts Gifted program. I think she feels comfortable in all areas because of the well-rounded education she received from your wonderful teachers.

    "Michelle is in the 4th grade and Carrie the 1st grade at a Montessori school in St. Louis. Michelle has fond memories of the primary and first grades in Long Grove. She especially remembers the overnight camping trip. They are both looking forward to their own school overnight this fall.

    "When a parent asks how their children will do after Montessori, I try to reassure them that they will not only be fine, they will thrive. My children experienced much at your school. Thank you for allowing my children to have a Montessori education. Have a great year! "
